Abstract
Un système d'échappement (12) d'un moteur à combustion interne comprend un tuyau d'échappement et un catalyseur d'oxydation (14) raccordé à ce dernier. Un filtre à particules (16) est placé en aval dudit catalyseur. Le diamètre d'un corps (24) du catalyseur d'oxydation (14) est supérieur au diamètre du tuyau d'échappement (22). Selon l'invention, le corps (24) du catalyseur d'oxydation (14) est moins perméable aux gaz d'échappement dans une zone centrale (30) que dans une zone de bordure extérieure (28).
