Abstract

Since a permanent magnet (10) with an arc-shaped outer circumferential surface is buried into an iron core (20), a gap magnetic distribution is not disturbed, there are no apprehensions of increase in torque ripples and voltage ripples, and it is advantageous to the miniaturization of a rotor. In addition, since a hole (40) is made on the inner side of the iron core radial direction of the permanent magnets (10, 11), a d-axis inductance (Ld) can be set to be small and a salient pole ratio (Ld-Lq) can be set to be large in comparison with those in the case of the absence of the hole (40), i.e., a reluctance torque (Tr) can be set to be large.
