Abstract

A dynamic pressure bearing device in which a shaft member has a shaft section and a flange section and in which one end of the shaft member is pivotally supported, wherein the accuracy of assembly between the shaft section and the flange section is not degraded. The dynamic pressure bearing (1) has the shaft member (2) and a bearing sleeve (8) placed on the outer periphery of the shaft member (2) and rotating relative to the shaft member (2). The shaft member (2) has the shaft section (21), the flange section (22), and a sliding section (23). The flange section (22) axially engages with a lower end surface (8b), functioning as a prevention section, of the bearing sleeve (8) to prevent the shaft member (2) from coming out of place. The sliding section (23) is in contact with a bottom section, functioning as a thrust receiver, of a housing (7) to support a thrust load. The flange section (22) and the sliding section (23) are integrally formed together.
