 放射線画像撮影装置と分離されたX線検出装置や被写体台とを備える放射線画像撮影システムにおいて、X線管-被写体間距離や被写体-X線検出器間距離、拡大率を正確に設定し或いは把握することができる放射線画像撮影システムを提供する。  被写体Hに対して放射線を照射するX線管10を有する放射線画像撮影装置2、51、71と、被写体Hを透過した放射線を検出するX線検出装置11、52、73と、被写体Hを載置する被写体台3、53、72とを備える放射線画像撮影システム1、50、70において、少なくともX線検出器11、52、73または被写体台3、53、72が放射線画像撮影装置2、51、71とは独立して設けられている。
