Abstract

The invention relates to an item of clothing for the foot, in particular the formation of a sock or a stocking consisting substantially of a formed stocking element that at least partially covers the foot of a person and a sole element, wherein the stocking element and sole element are connected in one piece. According to the invention, in the area of the toes (Z), the stocking element (2) has individual receptacles (4) for the toes (Z), and in the area of the main body of the foot (FS), an elastic bandage strap (3), which can be fixed, stretches over the medial forefoot up to the instep (FR). According to the invention, the item of clothing for the foot is suited for the sports domain (water sports, running sports), the everyday domain, and in any domain in which a feeling of being barefoot is desired but in which the foot should be protected from injuries.
