Abstract
Provided are a soil detecting apparatus capable of detecting the soil left in a container to be used for an analyzing operation, more strictly, and an analyzing apparatus. This analyzing apparatus (1) performs the soil detecting measurement operation to measure the optical characteristics in a reaction container (21) by a soil detecting photometric unit (20), after a soil detecting reagent, which reacts selectively with the component in a liquid specimen to change the optical characteristics, was poured into a reaction container (21), thereby to raise the optical characteristics of the soil left in the reaction container (21), to a sufficiently detectable level. On the basis of the measurement result made in the soil detecting photometric unit (20), moreover, a soil detecting unit (34) detects the degree of soil of the reaction container (21).
