Abstract
This invention relates to the combination of two human actions: kissing and drinking. By mounting life-like imitation lips made from flexible material such as rubber, silicone, polyester elastomer, stryrene elastomer, etc. on a bottle or other container, such as a glass or can, the user drinks from the container and at the same time, kisses the lips. These lips feel, look and move the same as human lips, thereby evoking the image of a 'romantic' moment between the drinker and the drink.
Description
Description DRINK LIPS
Field of invention
[1] This invention relates generally to novelties. More particularly, the present invention relates to the novelty of combining two separate human actions into one: kissing and drinking. Background Art
[2] Lips are a symbol of romance and physical attraction. Emphasis is given to lips by products such as lip-stick, lip-liners, lip-gloss etc. Lips are a focal point to sexual attraction. Kissing one's lips is the first act of further physical interaction. Kissing one's lips is an act of love, affection or plainly lust and it is part of general human behavior. The act of drinking potable fluid from a container (bottle, glass or can) is also embedded in human behavior. Companies advertise alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages packaged in their containers in a manner of relating to a good time, even a romantic time. 'Two lovers sharing time drinking a light alcoholic beverage' for instance. These imitation lips combine both human behaviors: kissing and drinking. Detailed description of Invention
[3] The subject invention is best described as an imitation of human lips. This item is mounted on a bottle or other type of container (such as a glass or can) that contains potable fluid. The potable fluid will pass through the opening between the lips when the drinker picks up the bottle and drinks from it. Drinking from this bottle results in a kissing action between the lips of the drinker and the imitation lips. The pressure of the drinker's lips applied to the imitation lips results in 1) A 'closed' connection between the drinker's lips and the imitation lips resulting in avoidance of any of the potable fluid from the bottle being spilled when it is being transferred into the drinker's mouth and 2) An adjustment in the form of the imitations lips to emulate the change in form of human lips when two people kiss each other. The imitation lips are bent backward when the human lips kisses them and drinks from the container. The complete item consists of two (2) parts. Part 1: The base. Part 2: The imitation lips
[4] The base of the item is defined as that part of the invention that is designed for the purpose to keep the complete item in place and to provide a foundation for the imitation lips. The base of the imitation lips is made to snugly fit the bottle at the spot of the bottle where the potable fluid is dispensed from. The base has 3 parts. The top, the sleeve and the ridge. This top is designed to avoid the item from moving downward. (See figure 3, section B-Ol). The sleeve links the base with the
ridge and provides the area necessary for the material of the imitation lips. The ridge is designed to avoid the imitation lips from moving downward, he base is made of a flexible material, such as rubber, silicone, polyester elastomer, stryrene elastomer, etc. to adjust to the shape of the top of the bottle (or other container such as a glass or can).
[5] The imitation lips part of the invention are defined as that part of this invention that 1) have the appearance of human lips and 2) Have the ability to bend and move like human lips as reaction to the pressure applied. The lips are made of a flexible material, such as rubber, silicone, polyester elastomer, styrene elastomer, etc These imitation lips are meant to be as close to human lips as possible in regards to the properties of touch and appearance. Description of Drawings
[6] Drawing 1: This is a 3-D sketch of the complete invention. The original position of the lips are 'open' and ready to apply pressure to.
[7] Drawing 2: This is a 3-D view of the base of the invention.
[8] Drawing 3: This is a cross-section view of the base part of the invention as mounted on a bottle neck.
[9] Drawing 4: This is a cross section view of the complete invention with the imitation lips in 'closed' position.
[10] Drawing 5: This is a cross section view of the invention with the imitation lips in 'rest' position, which is the original position whereby the lips are ready for the user to drink from the bottle and apply pressure to the imitation lips.
[11] Drawing 6: This is a cross section view of when the user drinks from the bottle. Pressure is applied to the imitation lips and they change form accordingly.
Claims
[1] An item for combining kissing and drinking from a bottle or other type of container, such as glass or can, comprising: A base, made in one (1) piece having a top, a sleeve and a ridge, the top designed to stop the item from moving downward, the sleeve is that part between the top and the ridge, designed to provide a tight closure between the container and the item as well as an area for the imitation lips, a ridge on the bottom of the base to provide a foundation and place of attachment for the imitation lips, through a channel/groove; imitation lips, made in one (1) piece, surrounding and attached to the base, emulating the appearance, touch and flexibility of human lips.
[2] The item of claim 1, whereby the base is made from flexible material, such as rubber, silicone, polyester elastomer, styrene elastomer, etc. to adjust to the form of that part of the bottle (or other type of container), where the fluid is dispensed from. .
[3] The Item of claim 1, whereby the base provides sufficient friction between the item and the bottle surface to keep the item in place.
[4] The item of claim 1, whereby the top of the base is bent between 70 and 110 degrees from the sleeve, pointing inward and resting on the opening of the container (Figure 3, section B-Ol).
[5] The item of claim 1, whereby the sleeve of the item provides the area of attachment for the imitation lips (figure 3, section B-02).
[6] The item of claim 1, whereby the channel/groove in the ridge is the shape of a circle, at least 60% but no more than 90% of a full circle, embedded continuously and perpendicular into the top of the ridge (figure 3, section B-03).
[7] The item of claim 1, whereby the imitation lips are made from a flexible material, such as rubber, silicone, polyester elastomer, styrene elastomer, etc. .
[8] The item of claim 1, whereby the imitation lips emulate the flexibility of human lips, reacting to applied pressure by allowing said pressure to reshape the change form (figure 6).
[9] The item of claim 1, whereby the imitation lips return to their original shape and position when no more pressure is applied (figure 5).
