Abstract

　画質評価装置（２００）は、画像符号化データを復号処理する復号処理部（２０３）と、画像符号化データの不連続位置を示す不連続位置情報に基づいて、復号処理された画像符号化データが不連続点を含むか否かを判定する不連続位置通過判定処理部（２０４）と、復号処理された画像符号化データが不連続点を含むと判定された場合に、不連続点から、正しく復号可能な位置である復号処理同期位置までの間の画像符号化データを特定し、復号処理の結果が前記特定した画像符号化データの影響を受ける画像領域を検出する画像領域検出部（２０７）と、画像領域の大きさを基に画質劣化度を算出する画質劣化度算出処理部（２０６）とを備える。
