Abstract

The invention relates to a biogas plant which comprises a fermenter (2) into which a nutrient medium (M) can be introduced, which medium is fermented to produce biogas (B). The invention is characterized in that the biogas plant (1) comprises a pressure sensor (20) which detects the pressure of the biogas (B) present in the fermenter (2), a sensor signal of the pressure sensor (20) being transmitted to a control device which compares the actual pressure of the biogas (2) with a rated pressure that is or can be predetermined. The control device generates a signal controlling the filling quantity of the nutrient medium (M, M') present in the fermenter (2). Said signal can adjust the supply of the nutrient medium (M or M') to and/or the discharge thereof from the fermenter (2).
