Description

Device for hanging up items
The invention relates to a device for hanging up items in an attached container, such as folders for documents and carrying handles with plastic bags for clothes etc., which device consists of a pair of plates of e.g. cardboard, metal or plastics provided with suitable incisions. The invention shall simplify and organize the concept of packaging, storing and transporting items, so that you just not chose the most simple solution, where documents etc. are stored in tall bundles on a desk.
From Japanese Patent No. 2003326882, published 19.11.03 by Chin Koi, is known a plate, which on top has an oblong, horizontal slit. In this slit or incision the plate can be hanged up, especially when it is bent tightly together to form a handle with another and below, in direct extension, connected plate, in which there is an oblong opening with surroundings mainly congruent with the inner surroundings of the incision in the top plate. If the plate with the incision alone shall serve as a handle, is it a disadvantage, that the incision is so deep, that the thickness of the plate has to be relatively big, if the handle shall be sufficiently stable against twisting. If the plate with the incision is supported by the neighboring plate with the oblong opening, the disadvantage is especially, that this device for hanging up together with its connected container no longer can be pushed into e.g. a shelf in a bookcase from aside, but will require a supplementary means for hanging up through the then of material completely surrounded opening, please compare with the figures of the patent.
With the device according to the invention is obtained a better tool for hanging up items in a container, that either as for hanging folders is of the same material as the plates of the device, so it simply and easily can be cut out in the same working process, or where the container e.g. is a carrying bag, glued to the medium part of the plates. The crucial advantage for the new device is, that regardless of the two plates, besides through the medium part, they also are connected near the incisions, or the plates just are placed tightly together, the total system simply can be pushed into a shelf in a bookcase or on a table top, whereby is obtained a brand new concept for the storage of items in a simple and suitable way.
The device for hanging up items according to the invention is characteristic by consisting of a pair of tightly side by side placed plates with short, congruent and horizontal incisions. The plates are kept together through a medium part, shaped as, or connected to, a container for the content, which is to be hanged up. The incisions are surprisingly short, that is less than half the broadness of the plates near the opening of the incisions, and/or that the incisions are shorter than the distance to the common gravitation point for the plates plus their container. The alike incisions in the two plates can by various means, as described below, be shaped to be of different height, dept and embodiment, so that the device fairly precise can be pushed in to fit just on the shelf or on the table top, where the hanged up item is to be placed.
The technical effect of the short and specially designed incisions in the plates is, that the common gravitation point for the plates plus their container is displaced a distance away from the twin-point of rotation for the system, located where the innermost of the upper side of the incisions touches the outer part of the carrying shelf. The resulting gravitation force of the system thus shapes a turning momentum, which results in a pressure from the outer part of the undersides of the two incisions up against the underside of the carrying shelf. Thereby the device is kept in a stable tension, especially because it not just is based on a single plate, but are supported and balanced by a pair of tightly side by side placed plates with alike shaped incisions.
Hereby is obtained a brand new type of device for hanging up objects, without the above- mentioned disadvantages, but which in contrary has a couple of advantages, e.g. that they require a minimum of space, are cheap to produce and easy to use without the need for extra aids. For containers as carrying bags of plastics or paper the device according to the invention means, that the filled bags now easily can be pushed in approximately everywhere, e.g. on shelves and table tops, easy to use, open as well a closed. For hanging folders according to the invention it is a special advantage, that the folders have no need for being furnished with two special claws or require special lockers with two parallel rails. In the future such folders directly and stable can be hanged up separately side by side in a bookcase, even with shelves of various thickness, as well as the folders easily can be taken up and brought to meetings, where they e.g. can be pushed in to hang balanced and stable on both thin and thick table tops.
The special advantages for the various chosen examples of the device for hanging up items according to the invention will nearer be described below with reference to the shown embodiments, where
fig. 1 shows an embodiment of a device according to the invention seen from aside, fig. 2 another embodiment of a device according to the invention to be placed on a bag, fig. 3 a third embodiment of such a device, fig. 4 a folded out embodiment of one on the top connected device, fig. 5 the same device in a closed state, and fig. 6 a folded out embodiment of a hanging folder according to the invention.
Fig. 1 shows from the side a simple shape of a device for hanging up items according to the invention, consisting of two plates 1 and 1 ' closely placed side by side. The two plates are connected through a medium part 2, which downwards is shaped like a proper container 3 of the same material as the plates, yet on the figure there only is shown the upper part of the container. The plates 1 and 1 ' are furnished with alike and unusual short incisions 4 and 4', by which the device is placed on a means for fastening, here a shelf 5 in a bookcase. The device is seen to hang a bit aslant on the shelf 5, as it, where it touches the plates 1 and 1 ' innermost in the incisions, rests on their two closely placed upper sides 6 and 6' as a sort of common turning point, and uttermost to the openings of the incisions on respectively the undersides 7 and 7' of the incisions 4 and 4'. This is caused by the arising turning momentum, which results from, the systems common gravitation point is set aside from the common turning point, thanks to the very short incisions 4 and 4'. The small depth of the incisions also causes the special advantage, that there has been room for an oblong hole 8 designed as a handle just besides the incisions. On the fig. 2 is seen another embodiment of the device for hanging up items according to the invention, with incisions in both ends of the two plates 1 and 1 ', which again only is made possible by the small depth of the incisions. It is to be noticed, that the height of the incisions in the two ends are different, so you can choose to hang the system up in that end, where the incisions matches the thickness of the shelf 5 best, consequently it will hang most straight. The firm connections in the material between the upper sides 6, 6' and the lower sides 1, 1' of the incisions 4 and 4' are seen to be shaped, so they will run farther away from the opening of the incisions, the longer downwards the connections run from above, which has taken into consideration, that the system most commonly will hang a bit aslant. The container 3 here is a carrying bag of plastics or paper, which is fastened to the medium part 2 of the device. The very short incisions in both ends also here have made room for an oblong opening serving as a handle between the incisions.
Fig. 3 shows another means to obtain, that the system is hanging so straight and stable as possible, that is by the height of the incisions being adapted to the height of the shelf 5, so that its thickness only is a bit smaller than the height of the incisions. This is realized by the connection in the material between the upper and the lower side in the two alike designed incisions 4 and 4' are shaped like a staircase with here three steps 9, 9', 9", which runs farther away from the opening of the incisions, that is becomes deeper, the longer downwards you arrive. Consequently the device can be placed on precisely the step, that best corresponds to the thickness of the shelf 5. Also here there is, thanks to the short incisions, found space between the incisions to the oblong hole 8, which serves as a carrying handle. It shall be noticed, that this method to make the system hang as straight and balanced as possible can be combined with that shown in fig. 2, so there can be incisions shaped like a staircase in both ends of the plates 1 and 1 '.
On fig. 4 is in the folded out state seen a special embodiment of a device according to the invention, which more precisely can be placed through the medium part 2 on a container 3, e.g. a carrying bag. The two plates 1 and 1 ' are in their top kept together of in the material present short strings 10 and 10', so the plates easily can be closed together for exact placing on the container 3, as it is seen in fig. 5. After the placing the strings easily can be removed, so the carrying bag can be used accordingly to its purpose. Fig. 4 and 5 also demonstrates a special system, which couples the plates 1 and 1 ' together at the incisions besides through the medium part 2. This is closer described in the international application PCT7DK2007/000485, which like this application stems from Ole Emil Gram, and to which there can be referred. The mention of this particular system for closing and locking, and the explanation of the position numbers, are for practical reasons transferred to the following figures. Instead, here shall be mentioned some rises 11 and 11 ', especially on the undersides 7, 7' of the incisions 4 and 4' and/or probably, as not shown on the figure, on their upper sides. The rises can in various embodiments, lengths and sizes, plus in combination with the in the plates material, and of its thickness depending elasticity, realize a better hanging up of the device and its container.
Fig. 5 shows the same embodiment of the device according to the invention as in fig. 4, but now in a folded state and glued on a container 3, here a plastic bag, through the medium part 2. The special system for closing and locking shall here be described with reference to fig. 4 as well. In the hindmost of the plates 1 ' there is carved an area 12, which is bent around its upper edge, which also functions as a folding line 13. The area 12 has a small extension 14, which is squeezed into a slit 15 through an opening 16 in the other plate 1. The area 12 is hereby folded around one in the plate 1 being, and only on fig. 4 shown, shorter, but alike shaped area 17, allowing passage of the area 12 with its extension 14. Hereby is reached an agreeable rounding 18 for the fingers caused by the rounding now consists of four layers of the material of the plate. It shall be noticed, that this closing mechanism not is depending of the two plates are connected as shown in fig. 4, because fig. 5 can show two separate plates as well, kept together by this special closing mechanism. If you can cope with a more common handle, the plates 1 and 1 ' even just can be kept together more or less firmly of e.g. a pair of holes in one and a pair of corresponding embossed extensions in the other plate near the incisions, or by other to the plates attached means such as Velcro locks etc.. On fig. 6 is shown a folder according to the invention, in a plane state and seen from above, which also is supplied with the, from the international application PCT/DK2007/000485, and from the two preceding figures, known closing mechanism. The content of the hanging folder is placed on the back side, the plate 1 ', between the two side flaps 19, which afterwards are folded down on the content by means of the vertical folding lines 20. The front side, the plate 1 then can be folded up by means of the horizontal folding lines 21, so the folder can be closed and locked by the described closing mechanism, the position numbers being the same as mentioned in fig. 4 and 5. It shall be noticed, that the flaps 19 are designed at their top in such a way, that when they are folded in against the plate 1 ', and the plate 1 then is folded up hereupon, there is a total of three layers of the plates material to support up against the underside of the shelf, on which the folder shall be placed. This is one of the reasons why the patent claims describe not only the most suitable device, that is with two plates, but that there is mentioned at least two plates.
On the drawing there could have been shown other embodiments of the device for hanging up items according to the invention, but the chosen examples and figures should be sufficient to give an understanding of the characteristics by the invention.
