Abstract
The invention provides a process for the production of adsorbent-containing formed bodies which contain zeolite in concentrations of as high as 70wt% or above and can therefore sustain adsorptivity; and adsorbent-containing formed bodies obtained by the process. A process for the production of adsorbent-containing formed bodies which comprises the step of mixing a solvent consisting of water and/or an alcohol with an inorganic binder and zeolite to prepare a zeolite-containing wet clay, the step of hardening the zeolite-containing wet clay into a wet clay body, the step of subjecting the wet clay body to forming, and the step of drying the formed wet clay body into a dry clay body, characterized in that the zeolite content of the dry clay body is 70 to 98wt%.
