Abstract

In accordance with an exemplary embodiment of the invention a method is provided to reduce a peak to average ratio with a multi-code transmission. The method includes precoding a plurality of symbols (24), modulating the precoded plurality of symbols using multi-codes including a plurality of orthogonal codes (26), and transmitting a signal comprising the modulated precoded plurality of symbols, where precoding is performed to reduce the peak to average ratio of the transmitted signal.
