Description

DESCRIPCIÓN DESCRIPTION
Dispositivo elevador de sillas de ruedas.Wheelchair lifting device.
Objeto de Ia invenciónObject of the invention
The object of the invention is, as its own title indicates, a wheelchair lift, standard since it can be attached to any type of wheelchair to allow the user (with or without disabilities), by simply attaching the contraption to its wheelchair, gain considerable height and thus achieve objects and views that otherwise would not be possible to achieve, providing the user with this much demanded freedom.
One of the main obstacles that every user of wheelchairs afflicts on them, is the insufficient height that they are given in the world in which we live, designed specifically for erect bipeds.
The mechanism in question makes it possible to lift any existing wheelchair on the market, both mechanical and manual, so that its users, whether or not they have a disability, can both access unattainable sites due to the low height of conventional chairs, such as broadening your field of vision, thus saving architectural barriers that today hinder your daily life. It is known the problem that these users have, both in their own home and in their life on the street, at the time, for example, of accessing the upper shelf of an appliance as basic as a refrigerator, or when operating in a ATM of a bank branch, or having a conversation someone who is sitting behind a counter. This problem is solved very favorably with the lifting device object of this invention, since it gives the user an extra height, thus allowing them to achieve their purpose (either reaching things or maintaining a visual line with their interlocutor), and all this at their own craving, in a safe way and anywhere he pleases. In addition to the aforementioned, the device fits perfectly to any existing chair in the market, since it has a standard system for attaching the chassis of the aforementioned wheelchairs. It is a robust device that manages to lift and support both the user's weight and its own weight (chair-lift package). By its own simple manufacturing, the system is reliable and safe for the function it performs, in addition to assuming a minimum economic and structural impact, for the users themselves.
Estado de Ia técnicaState of the art
Different types of chairs are known that place the user in a vertical-bipedal position, as well as mechanisms whose purpose is to support the feet on the footrests of the chair itself or literally tie the users by the lower extremities and swing some of the parts of The chair, such as the seat or seat-backrest. Chairs with lifting and lowering mechanisms of only the seat are also known (ES-1046189-U). On the other hand there are also wheelchair inventions for the sick and disabled that facilitate the transfer of the patient from the bed to the chair and vice versa (ES-1027358-U). Within the scope of straightening wheelchairs (trying to gain height) that we have mentioned above, several documents can be listed, among them a straightable wheelchair without an electric motor (EP-0159562) or with an electric motor (ES-2128192- T3). Following improvements are reflected in documents EP-0065129 and EP-0159562. Another type of straightening wheelchair can be obtained in patent FR-A-2697418, joining the footrest in two articulated parts with the seat.
Además de que este dispositivo está pensado para camillas, no se trata de un dispositivo autoportante si no de un elemento de mobiliario que se sitúa en un lugar concreto y específico; tampoco es un elemento retráctil adaptable a cualquier silla.JP2004231333 describes an elevator that can be attached to any wheelchair that comprises: a base which, due to its arrangement and construction characteristics, can be disassembled, which is rectangular in shape; a moving part that holds and holds the chair; a lifting arm, which contains a threaded shaft; a threaded cylinder by which the moving part is geared to the threaded shaft; a motor with gear system that develops a right and left turn of the threaded shaft of the arm; an electrical or electronic console initially located on the lifting arm but that functions as a remote control and therefore can control the operation of the motor in a certain range of action. In addition to the fact that this device is designed for stretchers, it is not a self-supporting device, but rather a piece of furniture that is placed in a specific and specific place; Nor is it a retractable element adaptable to any chair.
That is why the objective of this invention is not to create a specific type of chair, nor to improve an existing one, but to take another step, innovating in an elevator that fits any type of chair, whether mechanical or electrical, capable of placing the user at the desired height, maintaining the stability of the set, satisfying aesthetic requirements since apparently the chair does not modify its shape, but its functionality.
Descripción de Ia invenciónDescription of the invention
The lifting device object of the invention is mainly intended to place its users at unattainable heights from a conventional wheelchair, at the request of the person or a third party, and attachable to any type of wheelchair for people with disabilities or No, either mechanical or manual. The present invention has been developed to solve the problematic architectural barriers set forth above, based on a simple but very effective solution, since it is based on the coupling of a portable gadget (elevator), to the aforementioned wheelchairs, capable of lift and maintain the weight corresponding to the user more than the conventional wheelchair at the desired height. It is attached to any type of wheelchair by the rear by an anchor system that unifies the elevator with the chassis of the chair, and remains unnoticed at all times until it becomes useful. This wheelchair lifting device comprises a removable base, rectangular or similar, that occupies a space under the seat of the chair between its two major wheels, provided with a vertical arm that is located by the central-rear part of the backrest of the chair, equipped with a guide through which, by means of a motor located on said base, an "H" claw runs, whose branches are laterally and vertically extensible in order to adapt to any type of chair, which is provided at the ends of coupling means in the chassis of the chair, to move attached to it once coupled, keeping the support base in the resting position below the seat thereof, without touching the ground, and in position Operational lifting of the chair said base rests on the ground and the "H" claw is located in the upper area of the vertical arm keeping the chair in the air so that the user is at an equivalent height of one pe rsona standing.
It is provided that the coupling means of the claw in "H" in the existing guide in the vertical arm have a certain degree of freedom of tilting in a longitudinal direction with respect to the chair in order to adapt to any model existing in the market in conjunction with the possibility of varying the length and width of the arms of the "H" shaped claw.
Descripción de las figurasThe movements of the elevator are controlled by an easy-to-use console that is placed in a place accessible to the user or a third person. The invention in question adopts the adjective of portable by having a system of accumulated energy that feeds the system that causes the desired movement. Lifting or maintenance is possible when the wheelchair is at rest, and that is when the user can perform the action to lift and / or maintain the wheelchair in which it is located. Once the user places the chair at the desired height, the elevator Ia keeps breaking that architectural barrier so little desired. Description of the figures
As a complement to the description that is being made and in order to help a better understanding of the particularities of the invention, in accordance with a preferred example of practical implementation thereof, a game is accompanied as an integral part of said description. of drawings where, for the purposes of illustration and not limitation, the following has been represented:

Figures 2 and 3 correspond to both front and side views of the device of the invention.
Figure 4 shows a detail of the elevator coupling to a conventional wheelchair (12) in a position of maximum elevation seen from the rear.
Realización preferente de Ia invenciónPreferred embodiment of the invention
As can be seen in the attached figures, the standard lift for any type of wheelchair of the invention is coupled to the chassis of the wheelchair (12) by means of clamps (3), whether metallic or of plastic material, adjustable with rotation Crazy blockers by a pin screw, placed on the four ends of the "H" shaped adjustable grip system (1). The elevator adopts its equilibrium position by resting on a base (8) with a rectangular or similar shape, removable in several parts for a better movement, equipped with blocks of non-slip material on its entire support surface. It has an arm (9), provided with a guide (10), located orthogonally to its base, vertically, whose functionality is to hold and join the anchoring system (1) with the base (8), applying the movement to said system throughout the entire guide (10). This arm has a threaded rod held at its two ends by two cylindrical bearings integral to the shaft of the rod, thus possessing freedom of rotation. The aforementioned bearings are anchored at the ends of the arm (9), which is structurally a rectangular or similar tube, inside which the rod or guide (10) is housed and the joint that it has with the anchoring system.
The anchoring system (1) to the chassis of the chair, is a movable structure shaped "H", which can be moved at the request of the user along the guide (10) reaching the desired height. In the center of the anchoring system is the clamping nut (3) that is crossed by the threaded rod. The outer body of the nut, rectangular or similar, is internal to the tube that forms the structure of the guide arm, and runs in solidarity with it when the rod is rotated in any of its directions. Logically, the rotation of the central rod of the guide arm proposes a movement of the anchoring system, since the nut, which remains welded in the central part of said system, is locked in the tube (9) of said arm.
El sistema de acople que posee dicho agarre consta de dos semicircunferencias que terminan uniéndose con dos tornillos que poseen en su interior sendas muescas cuadradas, en las cuales permanecerán anclados los tubos correspondientes del chasis de Ia sillaThe anchoring system has four grip points, with the chassis of the chair, which are located at the four ends of the mentioned structure in the form of "H" (1), thus ensuring the perfect union and avoiding any type of accident. The grip (6) itself is attached to the structure with a shaft with crazy rotation locked at any angle of rotation by means of a captive screw. The coupling system that has said grip consists of two semicircles that end up joining with two screws that have inside square notches, in which the corresponding tubes of the chair chassis will remain anchored
(12).(12).
The arms (2) of the structure in the form of "H", are extensible and therefore can be shortened in extension in a horizontal direction (5). Likewise, the arms (4) are telescopic (7), thus ensuring their extension or shortening in the vertical direction, with which the coupling to any wheelchair existing in the market can be carried out.
