Abstract
Provided is an optical recording head having a simple structure of a small thickness and a high efficiency for using light. The optical recording head includes: a slider which relatively moves on a recording medium with respect to the recording medium and has an optical waveguide; and an optical fiber for introducing light from a light source. The optical fiber is connected to the slider and has an end face at the side for emitting light of the optical fiber, on which surface is formed a slope serving as a reflection surface for polarizing the light introduced from the light source, so that the light polarized by the slope is introduced into a light waveguide.
