Abstract

In an information processor, when a USB device recognition section (10) judges that a USB device (17) is not connected because the device ID of the USB device (17) cannot be normally acquired due to the effect of a noise or the like, a USB power control unit (2) turns a local expander (13) and a remote expander (15) which are connected between a USB port (11) and the USB device (17) from on to off and turns them on in a predetermined time after turning them off. The turning on/off allows the operation equivalent to the insertion and removal of a cable and further allows the USB device recognition section (10) to acquire the device ID of the USB device (17).
