Abstract

 確度の高い蛋白質結晶化条件に効率よく到達して蛋白質結晶を作製することができる蛋白質結晶作製装置及び蛋白質結晶作製方法の提供。容器に設けられた複数のウェルのうちスクリーニング用のウェル内の蛋白質溶液に蛋白質結晶作製用の光を照射し、蛋白質結晶作製用の光が照射された後の蛋白質溶液の濁度を計測して、濁度検出の検出結果に基づいて最も高い確率で結晶化が期待される濁度を与える光の照射条件を求めて、この照射条件を結晶作製用の光の照射条件を結晶化条件として設定する。次いで結晶作製用のウェルに設定された結晶化条件に基づいて結晶作製用の光を照射して、蛋白質溶液内に結晶核を生成させ、この結晶核を成長させて蛋白質結晶作製を行う。
