Abstract

Provided are a reflective screen with further improved contrast and a front-projection display system. A reflective screen (1) reflects projection light outputted from a projection light source. The reflective screen is provided with a reflection layer (4) wherein strip-like external light absorbing surfaces (41) extending in one direction and reflection surfaces (42) are alternately arranged; a light transmitting layer (5) arranged on the light entering side of the reflection layer (4) from which projection light enters; a diffusion layer (6), which is arranged on the side opposite to a light transmitting layer (5) of the reflection layer (4) and diffuses and reflects light. The refractive index of the diffusion layer (6) is smaller than that of the light transmitting layer (5), and the reflection surfaces (42) are inclined to the projection light source side from the main surface of the screen (1).
