Abstract

 外筒2または治具30にハニカム体3が収容された状態で少なくともハニカム体3の一部分とハニカム体3の他の一部分とが拡散接合される金属製触媒担体の製造方法であって、ハニカム体3を外筒2に入れて該両者を拡散結合する場合には拡散接合時に外筒2から放出される窒素の量を抑制し、治具30内にハニカム体3を挿入して拡散結合する場合には拡散接合時に治具30から放出される窒素の量を抑制しないように、それぞれ制御するように、外筒2と治具30とのうちの一方に含まれる、拡散接合時の温度以下で窒素と化学的結合性が高い物質のモル当量を調整するようにした。
