Abstract
This invention provides an electroconductive member of a stainless steel, which retains a design on its surface, has excellent electroconductivity, and a low level of contact electrical resistance, and a process for producing the electroconductive member. The electroconductive member of a stainless steel satisfies at least one of the following requirements 1 to 6: (1) a requirement that the ratio of the X-ray intensity at a binding energy of 531.3 eV to the X-ray intensity at a binding energy of 530.1 eV as analyzed by surface X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) is not less than 0.85; (2) a requirement that the concentration of F in a passive film is not less than 0.1 atom%; (3) a requirement that the concentration of Li in a passive film is not less than 0.01 atom%; (4) a requirement that the Cr/Fe ratio (atom%) in a passive film is 2 or more; (5) a requirement that, in a passive film, the Cr/Fe ratio (atom%) is 2 or more, and the content of Al is not more than 0.1 atom%; and (6) a requirement that, in a passive film, the Cr/Fe ratio (atom%) is 2 or more, and the content of Si is not more than 0.1 atom%.
