Abstract
An implant giving the feel of a natural tooth and exhibiting a high safety. The implant (1) is used for fixing an artificial tooth (2) to an alveolar bone (3) and has a piezoelectric sensor (6) generating a weak current when pressed. When the artificial tooth (2) is pressed by occlusion, the pressing force is transmitted through an upper support base (5a) to the piezoelectric sensor (6) and compresses the piezoelectric sensor (6). The piezoelectric sensor (6) generates a weak current C corresponding to the pressing force. The weak current C stimulates the nerves present around the implant (1). With this, the person given the artificial tooth (2) can sense the pressure on the artificial tooth (2).
