Abstract

A reagent container (50) is formed in a triangular shape in a plan view and has a barcode surface corresponding to a reading surface tilting so that the direction of a line normal to the reading surface tilts a predetermined angle relative to the center line in the longitudinal direction of the upper surface of the reagent container (50). The reagent container (50) is received in a reagent receiving box (32) such that the barcode surface is located on the side in which detection light, which is emitted from a label reader (39) and passed through a reading window (323), enters and such that the longitudinal direction of the reagent container (50) lies along the optical axis direction of the detection light. The above construction allows the barcode surface to be tilted a predetermined angle relative to the radial direction of the reagent receiving box (32), which direction is the optical axis direction of the detection light. The barcode surface receives the detection light passed through the reading window (323) and reflects a part of the received light in the optical axis direction.
