Abstract
熱陰極蛍光ランプ(10)を備えたバックライト(100)であって、バルブ(12)を有する熱陰極蛍光ランプ(10)と、熱陰極蛍光ランプ(10)の端部に設けられた口金(50)と、口金(50)の外部端子(52)と接続されるソケット(40)とを備え、口金(50)の外部端子(52)は、バルブ(12)の長手方向(92)に対して略垂直な方向(例えば、スクリーン方向(90)の逆方向)に延びており、且つ、外部端子(52)は、バルブ(12)の長手方向(92)に沿って摺動可能なように口金(50)の本体部(51)に保持されている、バックライト(100)である。
