Abstract

An OFDM receiver apparatus and an OFDM transmitter apparatus wherein a channel estimation is performed by use of a pilot signal replica with the influence of peak suppression taken into account at the receiving end, thereby improving the performance of receiving peak-suppressed OFDM signals. An OFDM receiver apparatus (100), which performs a channel compensation based on a channel estimation using a pilot signal included in an OFDM signal received from an OFDM transmitter apparatus, comprises a pilot signal replica output part (142) that outputs a pilot signal replica having the same conditions as a pilot signal obtained by subjecting an OFDM signal, in which a pilot signal is similarly located, to a similar peak suppression process and further to a similar Fourier transform to the transmitting end; and a channel estimation value calculating part (144) that calculates a channel estimation value, based on the pilot signal replica signal and the pilot signal included in the received OFDM signal.
