Description
DESCRIPTION
"Device for bucket of earth moving machines" Technical field of the invention
The present invention regards a device for bucket of earth moving machines that is particularly suited for excavating in very compact or rocky terrains that need to be loosened before being excavated with ease. State of the Art
When one is confronted with rocky or very compact terrains, one usually relies on the power of the earth moving machine. One pushes with the bucket, straining not only this last but all the parts of the earth moving machine.
To avoid straining all the parts of the machine several solutions have been examined. One of these is illustrated in the patent US-B-4666213. The operating machine has been modified and a demolition hammer mounted in the place of the bucket. In this way, certainly, one is able to demolish the rock, but to load the excavated material it is also necessary to have a mechanical shovel and in some cases this causes the costs of work to increase considerably. Another solution is that illustrated in the patent GB-B- 1291318, in which a bucket has been fitted with teeth, each of which is equipped with a hydraulic hammer. In this case there are notable problems present in the creation of the bucket in order to reach the teeth the hydraulic tubing is created in the body of the bucket or in the underlying part which is, anyway, a strained part, and therefore delicate parts for the hydraulic circuit result as being exposed to probable damage.
The present invention
The principal aim of the present invention is that of overcoming the inconveniences and the disadvantages present in the state of the art through the creation of a device for an earth moving machine bucket, characterised by the fact that said bucket has at least one vibrating and/or hammering part that drives at least one hinged part connected to the teeth of the bucket.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the vibrating and/or hammering part has a hydraulic or pneumatic piston.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the vibrating and/or hammering part has a mechanical and/or electrical vibrator.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the vibrating and/or hammering part has a hydraulic or pneumatic piston and a mechanical and/or electrical vibrator.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the vibrating and/or hammering part is created with micro-switches and a timer mounted on the tubes of the hydraulic or pneumatic piston.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the hinged element is situated on the lower edge of the bucket.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the hinged element is formed of a base with teeth, by at least one toothed jaw and of a connecting rod.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the toothed jaws and the connecting rods are two apiece.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that said hinge is formed by a shaft fixed to the main body and of a rotating external tube onto which the base with teeth and the jaws are fixed.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the vibrating and/or hammering part is hinged by one part to the main body of the bucket and by the other to the connecting rod.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the vibrating and/or hammering part is created inside a reinforcing box in the bucket.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the reinforcing box has a slot to allow the connection between the vibrating and/or hammering part and the connecting rod.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the slots are two.
Another characteristic is given by the fact that the vibrating and/or hammering part is hinged to the part of the main body of the bucket by a pair of supports soldered to a flange fixed to the main body of the bucket.
As a result, the vibrations produced are transferred by the connecting rods connected to the above mentioned jaws to the teeth as well as to the same toothed jaws as well as to the base with teeth, allowing the bucket to penetrate materials that are particularly hard and rocky.
Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear clear from the following description of some methods of creating the invention given as non-limiting examples in the figures 1, 2 and 3.
A brief description of the figures.
Figure 1 shows an axonometric view of the device for an earth moving machine bucket, object of the present invention, without the lateral wall.
Figure 2 is an axonometric view of the device for an earth moving machine bucket, object of the present invention, with the lateral wall.
Figure 3 shows a magnified view of the device object of the present invention.
A detailed description of a method of creating the invention
With reference to figures 1 and 3, an earth moving machine bucket 1 is driven by a device which has a vibrating and/or hammering part 11 which drives a hinged element
10 connected to the teeth 8 of the bucket 1.
In the example in the figures the main body of the bucket 1 has bushes 2 to be mounted, by connecting arms, to the frame of an earth moving machine (not shown in the figures). The main body 1 of the bucket has a hinge 4 on the lower edge 3, constituted by a fixed shaft 5 around which an external tube 6 winds and on which is mounted, with the possibility of rotating, the base 7 with teeth 8, integral with two toothed jaws 9 positioned at the sides of the same base. The external tube 6 is, in turn, soldered to the base 7 and to the toothed jaws 9. The shaft that passes through the above mentioned tube is fixed by extreme pressure to the extremity of the bucket onto which it remains fixed.
The base 7 with teeth 8 and the two toothed jaws 9 are connected to the main body 1 by the hinge 4 and present two connecting rods 10 at the sides of the base 7, driven by vibrating an/or hammering parts 11 , that in the creation shown are two pistons that may be pneumatic or hydraulic, double-acting, or electric. The connecting rods 10 are held
by two guides 12 in order to obtain a more robust construction and allow the rotation of the connecting rod 10, but impede any movement along the axis of rotation. An electric vibrator 13 is mounted onto each piston 11, pneumatic or hydraulic. Each piston 11 is hinged on one part to the connecting rod 10 by the fork 14 and to the other part on a pair of supports 15 that are integral to the main body of the bucket 1. The pair of supports 15 is soldered to a flange 16 that is fixed by bolts 17 to the main body of the bucket 1. In the example in the figures 1 and 3 the pair of supports 15 and the piston are positioned in the reinforcing pipe 18 of the bucket 1, in which a slot is created to permit the connection between the piston 11 and the connecting rod 10 through the fork 14. The piston 11 is connected with the tubes 21 and 22 to the delivery and return of the fluid of the cylinders of the earth moving machine. Micro- switches and timers are mounted onto the delivery and return tubes which , appropriately set, confer a pulse movement to the device, creating a vibrating and/or hammering part. The device, according to the method of creation shown, is protected and, inside the body of the bucket, there are no elements that can be damaged by the material excavated. The only part inside the main body 1 of the bucket is the connecting rod 10 which is, however, constructed in a very robust and compact fashion and cannot be damaged.
In figure 2 the bucket of an earth moving machine with its lateral wall 20 is shown, in which it can be seen that all the parts of the device are protected. In this way the bucket 1 will be able to improve its working capability. When the bucket is positioned on the earth to be excavated or moved the vibrating and/or hammering parts 11 are put into action and which confer to the base 7 with teeth 8 and to the toothed jaws 9 a movement
like a pneumatic hammer or demolition hammer that facilitates the breaking up of the ground whether it be constituted by hard earth or even by rock. The putting into action of the base 7 with teeth 8 and of the jawed teeth 9 can also be carried out through the vibrators 13 mounted on the connecting rods 10.
In all cases the breaking up of the ground to be moved or excavated is made easier and the wear to' the structure of the excavator or to the power shovel results as far less, with undoubted economic advantages, due to lower consumption and the lower maintenance costs needed to be born for machines with toothed buckets analogous to the invention. The discovery, it must be noted, is not limited to the representation given by the figures but may also be perfected and modified by those skilled in the art without, however, departing from the limits of the patent.
The present invention allows numerous advantages and to overcome difficulties that could not have been overcome with the systems on sale at present.
