Abstract
A device for the thermal loss reduction between two rooms (R, O) and fit to be associated with a tunnel doorway (T) for the passage of objects (P) between said rooms (R, O). Said device comprises: at least a sliding means (2) almost parallel to the passage direction of the objects and having a length at least equal to the maximum dimension of the object in the passage direction; at least a truck means (3) driven in both directions by respective motor means along the respective sliding means (2) between an extreme inner position in respect to the passage direction and an extreme outer position; at least a bulkhead means (4) fixed to a correspondent truck means (3) and driven by respective motor means, between an opening condition (A) and a closing (C) condition in which respectively it open and occludes at least partially the passage opening of the tunnel (T) doorway. In an operating condition of the device (1) the at least a bulkhead means (4) in the closing condition (C) avoids or limits the thermal loss between the rooms (R, O) and it is moved by the respective truck means (3) together with other objects (P); in the extreme inner position and when at least an object (P) is near to the at least a bulkhead means (4), the respective motor means set the at least a bulkhead means (4) in the opening (A) condition, said at least a bulkhead means (4) in the latter condition and thus without interference with the at least an object (P) is carried by the respective truck means (3) in the extreme outer position where it is suddenly placed in the closing condition (C).
Description
DEVICE FOR THE THERMAL LOSS REDUCTION
TECHNICAL FIELD
The present invention refers to the thermal insulation field and in particular it refers to a device for the reduction of the thermal loss in particular in the passages, accesses and/or exits between rooms with high temperature differences.
BACKGROUND ART
There are known doorways for the passage of things provided with a plurality of flexible curtains which stand beside and are maintained adjacent and vertical by its own weight. In case of things passage, the things pass through the passage, move the curtains opening a way .
A drawback of said doorways consist in that, using a lot of time to come back in a stable position after a passage, allow an excessive air passage between the rooms separated thereby.
Another drawback consists in that said doorways cannot be used with objects or things which cannot be touched by other objects, for instance for hygienic reasons or because the objects or things in transit have yet wet paint.
There are also known doorways of the motorized type having saloon- like leafs or with lateral sliding shutters fit to open during the passage of objects or things.
Another drawback of said motorized doorways consists in that they are not suitable for the passage of slow and/or long things or for the continuous passage of objects in a queue because in that cases said doorways must stay opened for too long periods causing excessive thermal losses.
DISCLOSURE OF THE INVENTION
An object of the present invention is to propose a device for the thermal loss reduction in correspondence of passages for objects between rooms at very different temperatures and fit to avoid contacts with in transit objects.
Another object is to propose a device fit to reduce efficaciously the thermal loss also in case of slow motion of the in transit objects and in case of continuous constant, non constant or random passage command, for instance conveyed by means of a chain conveyor.
Another object is to propose a device fit to the entry and to the exit of objects for air- conditioned or cooled rooms and particularly for ovens.
Another object is to propose a device fit also to the transit of people from and to heated and/or air-conditioned and/or cooled rooms like storerooms or technical rooms or for the entry and the exit of public places.

BEST MODE OF CARRYING OUT THE INVENTION
In figure 1, 2 and 14 the numeral 1 indicates the device for the thermal loss reduction between two rooms R, O object of the present invention.
The device 1 is associated with a tunnel T doorway for the passage of objects P between said rooms R, O consisting, for instance, in a room for the painting of objects P consisting in plates, and in an oven for the drying up of the paint applied to the plates.
The rooms may consist in the drying oven and in an outlet room of the plates with dried paint.
Alternatively the room may consist in a closed environment or outer zone ant the other one in a refrigerator, in a treating room, in a public room.
The tunnel T has a rectangular transversal section with lower floor, two side walls and a upper ceiling. The tunnel T is inside provided with a transport means or upper carousel S; the objects P are hanged from the connection of said transport means S in order to move them from the painting room R to the oven O.
The device comprises: a sliding means 2 almost parallel to the passage direction of the objects and provided with rails 5 fixed to the inner lower side of the tunnel T and having length almost equal to the maximum direction of the objects P in the passage direction;
a truck means 3 driven in both the directions by respective motor means along the rails 5 of the sliding means 2 between an extreme inner position respect to the passage direction or near to the oven and an extreme outer position faced to the painting room; - a bulkhead means 4 fixed to the trunk means 3 and driven, by respective motor means, between opening A and closing C conditions in which respectively opens and occludes at least partially the passage opening of the tunnel T doorway.
The two rails 5 of the sliding means 2 are parallel to the passage direction of the objects and to the lower side, that is the floor, of the tunnel T and they are engaged in a rolling way by four wheel means 6 placed at the vertex of the truck means 3 having plan shape almost rectangular.
Each wheel means 6 comprises an idle pulley provided with a peripheral annular throat. Each rail 5 comprises two parallel and overlapped guides 7, engaged in the throats of the two pulleys which constitute the wheel means 6 of a correspondent side of the truck means 3.
In this way the truck means is constrained to translate parallel to itself without derailment risks.
The motor means of the trucks 3 comprise a rotating motor of electric, hydraulic or pneumatic type fixed to the truck and provided with an outlet pinion engaged with a rack parallel to the rails 5 and fixed to the tunnel.
Alternatively the invention provides that the motor means of the truck means 3 move this latter by means of female screws and threaded rods, recirculating-ball screws with integrated threading or annular flexible means, like chains or ring like belts, fixed to the trunk means and engaged to crowns or pulleys whose at least one driven by the rotating motor.
In a further alternative, the invention provides that the motor means of the truck means 3 are constituted by, or comprise, linear actuators of the electric, pneumatic or similar type.
The bulkhead means 4 comprises at least a flexible shutter 10 which may be wrapped around at least a rotating axis 11 fixed to the truck means 3 for the wrapping of said shutter 10 in the opening condition A.
The bulkhead means 4 comprises also two lateral unwrapping means 12 for unwrapping at least
the shutter 10 in the closing condition C.
The lateral unwrapping means 12 are fixed to the trunk means 3 laterally to the shutter 10 and comprise respective guide means for this latter.
The motor means, of the electric, pneumatic or hydraulic rotating type, of the bulkhead means 4 driven by the shutter 10 by means of a kinematic mechanism for the connection to the rotating axis 11.
The same rotating motor or a proper further motor drives the unwrapping of the shutter 10 by means of pinions and racks, female screws and threaded rods, recirculating-ball screws with integrated threading or annular flexible means engaged with crowns or pulleys associated with the lateral unwrapping means 12.
Alternatively the unwrapping may be obtained by elastic means of the rotating axis 11.
A further alternative provides that the motor means of the bulkhead means 4 are provided with linear actuators of the electric , pneumatic or hydraulic type, associated with the side unwrapping means 12 for the unwrapping of the shutter 10.
The shutter 10 may be made of fabric or fibrous material heat resistant, possibly provided with a metallic layer, or with a thin flexible metallic sheet or sheet of other flexible material or like a curtain shutter with metallic sticks mutually articulated and laterally guided by "C" channels of the lateral unwrapping means 12, or with a closing/opening folding system.
In this latter case the wrapping or unwrapping of the shutter 10 may be driven by only a motor of the rotating axis 11.
The device further comprises a control means , preferably of the digital programmable type, connected to the transport means or carousel S, L, I and to the motor means of the truck 3 and bulkhead 4 means for their driving coordinated in base of a predetermined program.
The operating of the device 1 in an operating condition provides that the bulkhead means 4 in the closing condition avoids, or at least limits, the thermal loss between the rooms and that it is moved by the respective truck means 3 together with the objects P which transit into the tunnel
T.
In the extreme inner position of the bulkhead means 4 and when an object P is near to said bulkhead means 4, the respective motor means put in the opening condition A said bulkhead means 4 which in said opening condition, and thus without interfering with the object P, is placed by the respective truck means 3 in the extreme outer position where is suddenly placed in the closing condition C.
In the operative sequence of figure 14, shown from left to right and from top to bottom, it starts from a condition immediately successive to the shutter passage in the opening condition A from the extreme inner condition to the outer one passing under the object P which is only just entered in the tunnel.
The successive figure shows the immediate closure of the shutter only just it arrives downstream of the object that is in the extreme outer position.
The successive figures show the shutter closed which follows the object which is entering into the oven O until the shutter reach the extreme inner position in which it is wrapped in order to put it in the opening condition and it is rapidly slid, under further object, until the initial condition.
The first variant of the device 1 of figures 4 - 6 is particularly fit to a tunnel R ins ide provided with a lower transport means or a carousel I or provided for the motion of the objects P along the floor. Said first variant provides that the rails 5 are fixed to the inner upper side of the tunnel T in order to not interfere with said motion. Said variant is fit also to the people passage.
The second variant of the device of figures 7 - 9 differs from the previous one in that the rails 5 are fixed to a lateral inner side of the tunnel T opposite to the side provided with the lateral transport means or carousel which moves the objects P.
The operating of the first and the second variant, does not differ from what disclosed in relation of the embodiment of figures 1-3 and 14.
The device of the third variant of figures 10 - 13 and 15 comprises two bulkhead means 4, each one fixed to a respective mobile truck means 3 along a correspondent sliding means 2. The two
sliding means are aligned and placed in sequence and driven by control means in a coordinated manner.
The operating of the third variant of the device, as shown in the sequence of figure 15, provides that the shutters 10 of the two bulkhead means 4 are never simultaneously in the opening condition A further reducing the thermal loss.
An advantage of the present invention is to provide a device for the thermal loss reduction corresponding to passages for objects between rooms at very different temperatures and fit to avoid contacts with in transit objects.
Another advantage is to provide a device fit to reduce efficaciously the thermal loss also in case of slow motion of the in transit objects and in case of continuous constant, non constant or random passage command, for instance conveyed by means of a chain conveyor.

Claims
1) Device for the thermal loss reduction between two rooms (R, O) and fit to be associated with a tunnel doorway (T) for the passage of objects (P) between said rooms (R, O); said device being characterized in that it comprises: at least a sliding means (2) almost parallel to the passage direction of the objects and having a length at least equal to the maximum dimension of the object in the passage direction; at least a truck means (3) driven in both directions by respective motor means along the respective sliding means (2) between an extreme inner position in respect to the passage direction and an extreme outer position; at least a bulkhead means (4) fixed to a correspondent truck means (3) and driven by respective motor means, between an opening condition (A) and a closing (C) condition in which respectively it open and occludes at least partially the passage opening of the tunnel (T) doorway; in an operating condition of the device (1) the at least bulkhead means (4) in the closing condition (C) avoids or limits the thermal loss between the rooms (R, O) and it is moved by the respective truck means (3) together with other objects (P); in the extreme inner position and when at least an object (P) is near to the at least a bulkhead means (4), the respective motor means set the at least a bulkhead means (4) in the opening (A) condition, said at least a bulkhead means (4) in the latter condition and thus without interference with the at least an object (P) is carried by the respective truck means (3) in the extreme outer position where it is suddenly placed in the closing condition (C).
2) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that each sliding means (2) comprises two rails (5) parallel to the passage drection of the objects and to a tunnel (T) side, engaged in a rolling manner by wheel means (6) of the truck means (3) .
3) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that each rail (5) comprises two guides (7) parallel and engaged in the throats of two pulleys which constitute the side wheel means (6) of the truck means (3) .
4) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that the motor means of the truck means (3) drive this latter by means of pinions and racks, or female screws and threaded rods, or recirculating-ball screws with integrated threading or annular flexible means engaged with
crowns or pulleys .
5) Device according to claim 2 or 3 characterized in that corresponding to a tunnel (T) provided of an inner upper transport means or a carousel (S) for moving the objects (P), the rails (5) are fixed to the lower inner side of the tunnel (T).
6) Device according to claim 2 or 3 characterized in that corresponding to a tunnel (T) provided of an inner lower transport means or a carousel (I) for moving the objects (P) or for moving said objects (P) along the floor of said tunnel (T), the rails (5) are fixed to the upper inner side of the tunnel (T).
7) Device according to claim 2 or 3 characterized in that corresponding to a tunnel (T) provided of an inner lateral transport means or a carousel (I) for moving the objects (P), the rails (5) are fixed to the opposite inner side of the tunnel (T).
8) Device according to claim 1 characterized in that each bulkhead means (4) comprises at least a flexible shutter (10) which may be wrapped around at least a rotating axis (11) fixed to the truck means (3) for wrapping the at least a shutter (10) in the opening condition, and it comprises at least an lateral unwrapping means (12) for the unwrapping of the at least a shutter (10) in the closing condition (C).
9) Device according to claim 8 characterized in that the lateral unwrapping means (12) are two, fixed to the truck means (3) laterally to the at least a shutter (10) and comprise at least guide means thereof.
10) Device according to claim 9 characterized in that the motor means of the bulkhead means (4) drive the at least a shutter (10) by means of a kinematic mechanism of connection to the rotating axis (12) and by means of pinions and racks, or female screws and threaded rods, or recirculating-ball screws with integrated threading, or annular flexible means engaged with crowns or pulleys associated with the lateral unwrapping means (12).
11) Device according to any of the previous claims characterized in that it has only a bulkhead means (4) fixed to the truck means (3).
12) Device according to any of the claims 1-11 characterized in that it comprises two bulkhead
means (4) each one fixed to a respective truck means (3) mobile along a correspondent sliding means (2); the two sliding means being mutually aligned.
13) Device according to any of the previous claims characterized in that it comprises a control means, preferably of the digital programmable type, connected to the transport means or carousel (S, L, I) and to the motor means of the truck (3) and bulkhead (4) means for their coordinated driving.
