Abstract

The invention relates to a ventilation unit, particularly for independently cooling electric motors. Said ventilation unit comprises an electric motor (1) with a rotor (4) that is designed as an internal rotor and encompasses a motor shaft (5), a stator (3), and an inlet grating (9). The electric motor (1) is mounted at least in part within a receiving part (7) that is centrally arranged on the inlet grating (9). The receiving part (7) is closed at the end thereof facing away from the ventilation grating by means of an end shield (8). The motor shaft (5) extends outward through the end shield (8). A fan impeller (2) that is designed as a diagonal fan impeller is mounted at the free end of the motor shaft (5). A housing part (16) which is designed as an inlet nozzle and encompasses the receiving part (7) is disposed between the fan impeller (2) and the inlet grating (9).
