Abstract

La présente invention concerne une téléphone mobile (cellulaire) capable d'une lecture (copie) magnétique ou optique d'information stockée à partir d'une bande magnétique ou d'un code à barres sur une carte de visite, et de mémoriser ladite information (par exemple, des numéros de téléphone et des adresses de courrier électronique) dans sa banque de données (mémoire) pour un extraction ultérieure par le propriétaire du téléphone. La présente invention comporte une fente s'étendant le long de la face latérale de son boîtier à travers laquelle une carte de visite spéciale en matière plastique est glissée par le propriétaire du téléphone cellulaire (avec l'autorisation du propriétaire de la carte) pour le téléchargement automatique de l'information contenue sur la bande magnétique ou le code à barres de ladite carte dans la mémoire de téléphone. Ladite information lue par le lecteur de carte magnétique (ou scanner optique) incorporé peut être extraite ultérieurement à partir de la banque de mémoire du téléphone (qui peut être représentée graphiquement sous forme de dossiers sur l'écran d'affichage visuel du téléphone) par le propriétaire du téléphone lorsque celui-ci souhaite lancer un appel téléphonique. L'extraction des numéros de téléphone et de données associées à partir de la mémoire du téléphone est rendue possible par la commande manuelle de touches de navigation (touches de déroulement et de menu et analogues), de manière conventionnelle comme sur des téléphones cellulaires classiques non équipés de lecteurs de carte. Une fois le numéro de contact souhaité affiché et mis en évidence, le propriétaire du téléphone n'a qu'à appuyer sur la touche d'appel pour lancer un appel vocal ou en mode données.
