Abstract

Disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolyte solution for batteries having high flame retardancy, which enables to provide a positive electrode material of a battery with high heat resistance. Specifically disclosed is a nonaqueous electrolyte solution for batteries, which is characterized by containing a supporting salt and a nonaqueous solvent containing a cyclic phosphazene compound represented by the general formula (I) below and at least one methyl ester compound selected from the group consisting of methyl acetate, methyl propionate and methyl butyrate. (NPR2)n (I) (In the formula, each R independently represents a fluorine, an alkoxy group or an aryloxy group; and n represents a number of 3-4.)
