Abstract

Adaptateur pour carte mémoire, telle qu'une SIM, qui se place sur et se relie optionnellement à la carte mémoire-SIM, offrant des services personnalisés, tels que des services de mémorisation ou des services cryptographiques, au dispositif hôte. Un côté de l'adaptateur possède des contacts électriques dans la même position et la même configuration que la carte mémoire-SIM, faisant ainsi interface avec le dispositif hôte de la même manière que la carte mémoire-SIM. L'autre côté de l'adaptateur possède des broches électriques dans la même position et la même configuration que le dispositif hôte, faisant ainsi interface avec la carte mémoire-SIM. L'adaptateur peut comprendre une logique et des ressources, telles que des capacités de mémoire et des capacités cryptographiques. L'épaisseur de l'adaptateur est telle que la combinaison adaptateur/carte mémoire-SIM se place dans le lecteur de carte mémoire du dispositif hôte, avec l'adaptateur entre l'hôte et la carte mémoire-SIM. Ainsi, l'adaptateur peut offrir des services personnalisés améliorés à l'hôte en plus de l'ensemble des services normalement offerts par la carte mémoire-SIM.
