Abstract

The present air extraction systems for sanitary installations do not act directly upon the contamination site, but rather in the room. Direct extraction of impure air from the inside of the sanitary vessel is proposed. Among the practical methods used to achieve this purpose, those that utilise the water discharge pipes in counterflow in order to aspirate air excel for their simplicity, as these pipes are only used otherwise for a very short period. The method consists in aspirating air from a small zone (the inside of the vessel) before it diffuses throughout the room. However, many different special solutions are proposed, depending on the type of water discharge and on the location of the air extractor.

Description

SISTEMA DE EVACUACIÓN DE MALOS OLORES PARA SANITARIOS. EVACUATION SYSTEM OF BAD ODORS FOR SANITARIES.
SECTOR DE LA TÉCNICASECTOR OF THE TECHNIQUE
Sector industrial: instalaciones sanitarias. Instalaciones de fontanería.Industrial sector: sanitary facilities. Plumbing installations
ESTADO DE LA TÉCNICASTATE OF THE TECHNIQUE
Las instalaciones sanitarias para uso doméstico o industrial evacúan los gases y malos olores por las siguientes vías:Sanitary facilities for domestic or industrial use evacuate gases and odors by the following means:
Extraction of air from the room. The extractor located in one of the partitions removes the dirty air from the enclosure, and through the windows or slits of the doors the renewal of air takes place.
Primary ventilation. Superior opening to the outside constituted by the superior extension of the waste disposal downspouts.
Secondary ventilation. Achieved by means of the ventilation tube connected to the downspout before the arrival to the collector, and which is responsible for alleviating the hydraulic piston effect of the waste.
In parallel there is a variety of systems whose function is to mask the foul odors by using aerosols, deliquescent tablets or substances added to the toilet tank.
Las limitaciones de estos sistemas son bien conocidas:The limitations of these systems are well known:
The extraction of the air implies that the odoriferous molecules are already in the room impregnating walls, clothes and fixtures. Its extraction rate depends on the openings to the outside for the entry of clean air into the room that are minimal in most toilets. Efficiently ventilating the room is done at the cost of opening the door or installing a grill in it. Normally this produces that a part of the smelly air diffuses to the rest of the house. The primary and secondary vents are very effective during the evacuation of waste, but the hydraulic blockage of the siphon (which is part of its operation) prevents them from continuing with the extraction of odors later. Although of paramount importance for the ventilation of the downspouts, its effect on the ventilation of the room is very small.
The odor masking systems lead in practice to a greater contamination of the air present in the room, which in addition to the foul-smelling odoriferous particles contains a considerable concentration of aerosols, all aspirated by the user and the environment.
Finally, the substances dissolved in the drag water have a serious environmental impact and a null effect on the molecules that are already in the air.
DESCRIPCIÓN DE LA INVENCIÓN Problema técnico planteadoDESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION Technical problem raised
Reduce the concentration of bad odors in the room. Do it through an evacuation that does not affect the rest of the home or work areas. Achieve it through a procedure that does not increase the presence of chemical substances in the air.
Breve descripción de la invención.Brief description of the invention.
All toilet bowls have a pipe to carry water from the tank to the inside of the cup. Pipeline that is only occupied during the download.
Our idea is based on using these same ducts as a suction outlet for dirty air. Detailed description of the invention.
There are a multitude of mechanisms to discharge the water in the toilets' cups. This makes the detailed description vary significantly from one system to another.
In the case of high tanks, fluxometers or impellers, it is enough to remove a branch from the discharge pipe.
In the case of low tanks, without usable discharge duct, it is enough to give a superior output to the cistern mechanism.
The cistern would have an additional opening that would connect the discharge line to the outside. The extraction is forced with some type of extractor and the outlet duct is connected to the general extraction outlet of the room. So that the system does not waste energy it will be timed in a similar way to the usual extractors, either by connecting it to the lighting, presence sensors, temperature, ect.
The extractor also has several possibilities. It can be placed within the proposed new evacuation channel, the same one in the room, taking advantage of the Venturi effect, placed in a rear channel, aspiring from the inside of the cup and the room simultaneously, or having another arrangement. In drawing 2 we put an outline of a specific application as an example.
BREVE DESCRIPCIÓN DE LOS DIBUJOSThis same system can be applied similarly to urinals. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
