Abstract

It is possible to set a standard discharge feature of a battery cell expressed by a discharge capacitance difference based on a state when the battery cell is discharged to a discharge end voltage for each of ranks. According to the standard discharge feature, it is possible to obtain a discharge capacitance width for selecting a battery cell having a discharge capacitance causing no danger of excessive discharge when a set of cells of the specification corresponding to the rank is discharged to a predetermined discharge end voltage. This discharge capacitance width is set as an allowance width of the same rank serving as an index for selecting a battery cell so as to measure a discharge feature of each of battery cells. The battery cells having discharge features within the allowance width are selected as battery cells belonging to the same rank. Thus, it is possible to select battery cells in accordance with specification and exclude a battery cell which causes excessive discharge when arranged in a set of cells.
