Abstract

In white charged particle (50), first mother particle (51) is negatively charged while first child particles (52) are positively charged. In black charged particle (60), second mother particle (61) is provided with negative charge weaker than that of the first mother particle (51) while second child particles (62) are positively charged like the first child particles (52). Accordingly, even when collision of white charged particle (50) with black charged particle (60) causes detachment of first child particles (52) from the first mother particle (51), or detachment of second child particles (62) from the second mother particle (61), there would be no sticking between the first child particles (52) and the second child particles (62). Therefore, any change of the charging characteristics of the white charged particle (50) and black charged particle (60) by the detachment of first child particles (52) and second child particles (62) can be prevented, thereby avoiding any drop of contrast ratio of display panel (2) by changes of the charging characteristics of charged particles.
