Abstract

Black charged particles (50) and white charged particles (60) different from each other in charge polarity are included in a display part. The black charged particle (50) comprises a first mother particle (51) having a charge polarity different from the white charged particle (60) and first child particles (52), which are fine particles electrified to the same charge polarity as the white charged particle (60), adhered onto the surface of the first mother particle (51). As the black charged particle (50) approaches a position nearer the white charged particle (60), the repulsion generated between the first child particles (52) adhered onto the surface of the black charged particle (50) and the white charged particle (60) increases. Accordingly, in this case, the frequency of the generation of coagulation of the charged particles is reduced, whereby a high image quality can be realized.
