Abstract

L'invention concerne l'industrie du bois et notamment la fabrication de traverses à partir de bois modifié. Ce procédé de fabrication de bois modifié comprend le séchage, l'imprégnation et la compression du bois dans un produit antiseptique huileux. Pendant tout le processus, on traite le bois avec un champ ultrasonore pulsé possédant une fréquence de 20 KHz et une puissance de 4 kWt, les impulsions ultrasonores d'une durée de 2,5 à 3 min. sont alternées avec des pauses de 6-6,5 min. L'invention permet d'obtenir une plus grande stabilité de forme du bois modifié destiné à la fabrication de traverses.
