Description

Description
MANUFACTURE APPARATUS OF STREET LIGHT BODY
USING WAVE-FORM STEEL PIPE AND MANUFACTURING
PROCESS BY THE APPARATUS
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to an apparatus and method of manufacturing a streetlight body using an extended waveform steel pipe, and more particularly, to an apparatus and method of manufacturing a streetlight body using an extended waveform steel pipe in which a cylindrical steel pipe is extended by thermal deformation to form an outer periphery having a predetermined winding, thereby obtaining an waveform steel pipe without requiring an additional correction process due to the thermal deformation, improving work efficiency due to reduction of working hours, although fewer workers are employed, and adjusting a thickness and a length thereof as necessary. Background Art
[2] In general, a streetlight strut has a circular shape or an octagonal shape. For example, a process of manufacturing the streetlight strut having the octagonal shape is as follows.
[3] First, a metal plate weighing from about 2 tons to about 4 tons is cut in a diamond shape, and the cut metal plate is prepared. The prepared plate is folded in seven using a press to form a strut having an octagonal shape. Here, folded lines are disposed from both edges of the plate toward a central portion of the plate. When the seventh folded line is formed, both ends which are cut in a longitudinal direction of the plate are in contact with each other. At this time, the press is held between the both ends. After the press is taken out using a wire, the both ends which is contact with each other is welded. The welded portion is corrected to complete manufacture of a streetlight strut having the octagonal shape.
[4] A light is coupled on an upper portion of the strut formed as described above through a light coupling unit, and the streetlight strut is coupled to anchor bolts which are already installed to complete an installation of the streetlight.
[5] However, in a conventional method of manufacturing a streetlight strut, because it takes a long time to weld the streetlight strut, and the streetlight strut is thermally deformed by heat generated during the welding process, an additional correction process for correcting the thermal deformed portions is needed.
[6] In addition, the press used for manufacturing the strut having an octagonal shape frequently causes malfunction due to frictional heat thereof to deteriorate work efficiency. Also, it will take a lot of manpower to manufacture one streetlight strut. Disclosure of Invention

[22] That is, the terms used herein must be understood based on the descriptions made herein.
[23] An apparatus of manufacturing a streetlight body using an extended waveform steel pipe according to the present invention includes a movable support 10, a reciprocating piston 20, an extending reciprocating plate 30, and an extended waveform mold 40. The movable support 10 prevents the apparatus from shaking during the movement of a push rod 21 to which the extending reciprocating plate 30 is fixed. The reciprocating piston 20 slowly reciprocates the push rod 21 within the extended waveform mold 40. The extending reciprocating plate 30 is fixed to a front end of the push rod 21 of the movable support 10 and thermally deforms a steel pipe to partially extend the steel pipe. The extended waveform mold 40 is a mold body that thermally deforms the steel pipe disposed therein.
[24] The movable support 10 has a fixing hole 11 in a central portion thereof. The movable support 10 is slidably supported by two pairs of vertically arranged horizontal guide bars 12a, 12b, 12c, and 12d between a vertically disposed first support wall 13 and a second support wall 15 which is disposed on an extension line of the first support wall 13 and spaced from the first support wall 13. The first support wall 13 and the second support wall 13 are supported and fixed by the two pairs of horizontal guide bars 12a, 12b, 12c, and 12d.
[25] The reciprocating piston 20 is disposed in a front direction of the first support wall
13 and reciprocates the movable support 10. A through hole 14 is formed in a central portion of the first support wall 13 on an extension line of the fixing hole 11. The push rod 21 connected to the reciprocating piston 20 passes through the through hole 14 and is fixed to the fixing hole 11 of the movable support 10. The push rod 21 is pushed within a range of about 6m along the two pairs of horizontal guide bars 12a, 12b, 12c, and 12d toward a central portion of the second support wall 15 by a hydraulic pressure generated by a hydraulic generator 22. An auxiliary push rod extending a length of the push rod 21 may be coupled to a front end of the push rod 21 to voluntarily extend or reduce the length of the push rod 21.
[26] The extending reciprocating plate 30 has a flat cylindrical shape. A lower portion of the extending reciprocating plate 30 is fixedly coupled to the front end of the push rod 21 of the reciprocating piston 20 using a coupling bolt 33. A plurality of rotatable extension bearings 31 are axially coupled along a center line of an outer periphery of the extending reciprocating plate 30 and inserted into an inner periphery to change a circular steel pipe 60 to a waveform steel pipe 50.
[27] The extended waveform mold 40 is horizontally supported and fixed by a third support wall 16 and a fourth support wall 17 which are respectively spaced predetermined distances from the second support wall 15 toward a rear direction on an extension line of the second support wall 15. A waveform long-hole 41 having a plurality of waveform concave portions 42 corresponding to the extension bearings 31 of the extending reciprocating plate 30 is horizontally formed and extended upto the fourth support wall 17. An inner portion of the waveform long-hole is heated at a temperature ranging from about 6000C to about 11000C using an electric heater 43 to thermally deform the circular steel pipe 60 inserted therein to the waveform steel pipe 50 using the extension bearings 31. For example, a plurality of support walls may be disposed as necessary to further extend or reduce a length of waveform steel pipe 50 to be manufactured.
[28] A method of manufacturing a streetlight body 1 using an extended waveform steel pipe includes disposing a steel pipe in situ, coupling an extending reciprocating plate 30, forming a waveform steel pipe 50, and completing manufacture of a streetlight body 1. In the disposing of the steel pipe in situ, a circular steel pipe 60 is inserted and seated in a waveform long-hole 41 of a horizontally disposed extended waveform mold 40. The extended waveform mold 40 having a length of about 6m is heated and maintained at a temperature ranging from about 6000C to about 12000C using an electric heater 43. In the coupling of the extending reciprocating plate 30, the extending reciprocating plate 30 is coupled to a front end of a push rod 21 of a reciprocating piston disposed on an extension line of the waveform long-hole 41 of the extended waveform mold 40. A plurality of extension bearings 31 are axially coupled along a center line of an outer periphery of the extending reciprocating plate 30. The extension bearings 31 correspond to waveform concave portions 42, respectively. The front end of the push rod 21 to which the extending reciprocating plate 30 is coupled is inserted into an inner periphery of the circular steel pipe 60 seated in the waveform long-hole 41 of the extended waveform mold 40 and is repeatedly reciprocated within a range of about 6m, i.e., from a front end of the waveform mold 40 to the other end by a reciprocating piston 20 to deform the circular steel pipe 60 to the waveform steel pipe 50 having a waveform shape which is formed by pushing the push rod 21 toward the waveform concave portions 42 in the inner periphery of the circular steel pipe 60. In the completing of the manufacture of the streetlight body 1, two waveform steel pipes 50 in which the circular steel pipe 60 is deformed to the waveform steel pipe 50 are coupled to each other and colored to complete the manufacture of the streetlight body 1.
