Abstract

 本発明の課題は、電力増幅器の負荷インピーダンス安定に用いられるアイソレータを削減することで発生する歪特性の劣化に対し、送信電力を減衰させることなく補正することができる電力制御回路及び電力増幅器の電力制御方法を提供することである。  電力増幅器(100)の歪特性が消費電力値と関係があることに着眼して、電力増幅器(100)の歪特性の劣化を補正するようにしたものであり、電力増幅器(100)に印加されるバイアス電圧値と、電力増幅器(100)の消費電流値とを検出して消費電力値を求めると共に、求めた消費電力値を事前に取得しておいた基準電力値と比較し、その差が最小になるようにバイアス電源の出力電圧値を変化させる。これにより、電力増幅器(100)の負荷インピーダンス安定に用いられるアイソレータを削減することで発生する歪特性の劣化に対し、送信電力を減衰させることなく補正することができる。
