Abstract
Since spaces formed by a trochoid tooth profile portion and the trochoid tooth profile portion of an inner member are allowed to communicate by the arcuate groove in a plate to enable silicon oil to flow, compression resistance is reduced and a torque acting on the rotor is reduced accordingly, thus reducing the damping force of a damper. When the plate is rotated to close one end side of the arcuate groove thus interrupting communication state of adjoining spaces, compression resistance of silicon oil is increased in the spaces thus increasing the torque acting on the rotor and increasing the damping force of the damper. In other words, the torque acting on the rotor can be varied depending on the rotational speed of the rotor.
