 ガスタービン負荷の急落が発生したとき、ガスタービンの回転数の上昇を容易に抑制することができるガスタービン発電システムであり、このシステムは、ガスタービン(2)と、ガスタービン(2)に回転力伝達可能に接続された発電機(7)と、上記ガスタービン(2)に供給される燃料ガスを圧縮するための燃料ガス圧縮機(5)と、この燃料ガス圧縮機(5)を駆動するためのモータ(9)と、上記発電機7から上記モータ(9)に電力を供給するための第一駆動用給電線(16)と、ガスタービン(2)の運転を制御するためのシステム制御装置とを備えている。
