Abstract

There is provided a multi-layer billboard with different day and night operation modes and, more particularly, to a multi-layer billboard with different day and night operation modes using LEDs, which comprises: a transparent cover attached to a front surface of a billboard presenting advertisements by connecting a number of LED modules, the transparent cover which is formed of a hard material being transparent and has a regular thickness; and a printing sheet attached to the front surface of the transparent cover, the printing sheet which has been applied an adhesive substance to one side, and has a predetermined thickness and a number of semi-transparent holes being punched thereon.

MULTI-LAYER BILLBOARD WITH DIFFERENT DAY AND
NIGHT OPERATION MODES
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a multi-layer billboard with different day and night operation modes and, more particularly, to a multi-layer billboard with different day and night operation modes using LEDs, comprising: a transparent cover attached to a front surface of a billboard presenting advertisements by connecting a number of LED modules, the transparent cover which is formed of a hard material being transparent and has a regular thickness; and a printing sheet attached to the front surface of the transparent cover, the printing sheet which has been applied an adhesive substance to one side, and has a predetermined thickness and a number of semi-transparent holes being punched thereon. Background Art
[2] Generally, a billboard as one of displays is used to effectively present advertisements of specific goods or companies. Billboards are installed on the roof of a building, around a subway station, the roadside and the like.
[3] A billboard has the structure in which fluorescent lamps are arranged at regular intervals and specific intervals inside a rectangular frame having a predetermined thickness, a reflection panel is connected to the front of the frame, a reflection plate to increase reflectivity is installed between the fluorescent lamps and the back of the frame, and a coating sheet on which specific pictures or words are designed is attached to a front surface of the reflection panel.
[4] However, in the billboard having the aforementioned structure, as the light of the fluorescent lamps is irradiated not in a specific direction but in many directions, even though the additional reflection plate is used, the irradition efficiency lowers and the fluorescent lamps need to be replaced due to their short durability.
[5] To solve the aforementioned problems, Korean Patent Registration No. 376893
(March 7, 2003) has provided a multi billboard with different day and night operation modes. In this billboard, there is mounted a PCB in which LEDs to be operated by a control circuit are arranged on a panel body. On a front surface of the PCB with the arranged LEDs, holes are punched to expose the LEDs. On the front surface of the PCB with the formed holes, a shield plate on which an advertisement is printed is laminated. Accordingly, this conventional billboard is to increase the effect that the advertisement printed on the shield plate is presented during the day and a video advertisement is displayed by the LEDs during the night. However, when the billboard is installed outside, since foreign substances or rainwater enters through the holes formed on the advertisement printing plate or shield plate, it incurs danger of an electric shock or causes malfunction. Moreover, since the holes need to be multiply formed, cost and time consumption are high. Disclosure of Invention Technical Problem
[6] Therefore, the present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a multi-layer billboard with different day and night operation modes, comprising: a transparent cover attached to a front surface of a billboard presenting advertisements by connecting a number of LED modules, the transparent cover which is formed of a hard material being transparent and has a regular thickness; and a printing sheet attached to the front surface of the transparent cover, the printing sheet which has been applied an adhesive substance to one side, and has a predetermined thickness and a number of semi-transparent holes being punched thereon. Technical Solution
[7] In accordance with the present invention, the above and other objects can be accomplished by a multi-layer billboard with different day and night operation modes which uses LEDs, which comprises: a transparent cover attached to a front surface of a billboard presenting advertisements by connecting a number of LED modules, the transparent cover which is formed of a hard material being transparent and has a regular thickness; and a printing sheet attached to the front surface of the transparent cover, the printing sheet which has been applied an adhesive substance to one side, and has a predetermined thickness and a number of semi-transparent holes being punched thereon.
Advantageous Effects
[8] As described above, in the multi-layer billboard with different day and night operation modes according to the present invention, the transparent cover which is formed of a hard material being transparent and having a regular thickness is attached to the front surface of the billboard presenting advertisements by connecting a number of LED modules; and the printing sheet which has been applied an adhesive substance to one side, and has a predetermined thickness and a number of semi-transparent holes being punched thereon is attached to the front surface of the transparent cover, so that the advertisement formed on the printing sheet is displayed during the day and the advertisement in another shape by the LEDs of the billboard is displayed during the night. [18] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.

[20] In a billboard using LEDs according to the present invention, a transparent cover 40, which is formed of a hard material being transparent and having a regular thickness, is attached to the front surface of a billboard 10 presenting advertisements by connecting a number of LED modules 20; and a printing sheet 30, which has been applied an adhesive substance to one side, and has a predetermined thickness and a number of semi-transparent holes 35 being punched thereon, is attached to the front surface of the transparent cover 40.
[21] The printing sheet 30 has one side to which an adhesive substance is applied and the other side in which an advertisement formed in various shapes is printed.
[22] The printing sheet30 may be formed without any surface treatment.
[23] Further, the billboard 10 displays the advertisement formed on the printing sheet 30 attached to the front surface thereof during the day and the advertisement expressed by light of the LEDs 20 of the billboard 10 during the night.
[24] Further, the transparent cover 40 may be formed by using a semi-transparent material as well as the transparent material.
[25] The present invention will be described, in more detail, below:
[26] The transparent cover 40 having the regular thickness is connected to the billboard
10 on a front surface of an LED electric sign board, to protect the billboard 10 from the external factors, such as wind, snow, rain and others.
[27] The printing sheet 30, which has been applied an adhesive substance to one side, and has a predetermined thickness and a number of the holes 35 being punched thereon is attached to the transparent cover 40. A desired advertisement of a user is printed on the other side of the printing sheet 30.
[28] That is, since the transparent cover 40 formed of the transparent or semi-transparent material is connected to the front surface of the billboard 10 and the printing sheet 30 on which the desired advertisement of the user is printed is attached to the front surface of the transparent cover 40, the advertisement formed on the printing sheet 30 is displayed during the day and the advertisement in another shape is displayed on the (LED) billboard 10 during the night as the LEDs 20 are turned on.
[29] Then, to more effectively display the light of the LEDs 20, the printing sheet 30 with the holes 35 being punched thereon may be used.

Claims
[1] A multi-layer billboard with different day and night operation modes, which uses
LEDs, comprising: a billboard (10) for displaying advertisements by connecting modules of LEDs (20), to display an advertisement formed on a printing sheet (30) attached to a front surface of the billboard (10) during the day, and to display another advertisement expressed by light of the LEDs (20) of the billboard (10) during the night; a transparent cover (40) attached to the front surface of the billboard (10), the transparent cover (40) formed of a hard material being transparent and having a thickness; and the printing sheet (30) attached to the front surface of the transparent cover (40), wherein semi-transparent holes (35) are punched on the printing sheet (30) having a thickness and no surface treatment is performed on the printing sheet (30), and wherein an adhesive substance is applied to one side of the printing sheet (30) and the advertisement formed in various shapes is printed on the other side thereof.
