Abstract

Conventionally, an overheat protection part, such as a thermostat for excessive temperature rise prevention, is used to prevent an unusual temperature rise of devices, however, in such a case, the temperature for overheat protection is fixed. A device of the invention for preventing excessive temperature rise has thermostats (6, 7, 8) for excessive temperature rise prevention having different protection temperatures, and also has a selection mechanism (9) for selecting between the thermostats (6, 7, 8). Further, a heating device (1) of the invention has a temperature sensor (4) for detecting the temperature of an inside (2), control sections (10, 12) for controlling heating of heating means (3) so that the temperature of the inside (2) is a predetermined temperature in response to an output of the temperature sensor (4), and the thermostats (6, 7, 8) for stopping heating by the heating means (3) depending on the temperature of the inside (2). In the heating device, any of the protection temperatures of the thermostats (6, 7, 8) can be selected.
