Abstract

An automotive glazing having a retaining socket bonded to a surface thereofis disclosed. The retaining socket is provided withat least one cavity for receiving a first adhesive for bonding the retaining socket to the glazing. The cavity itself is provided with retaining means for engaging with the adhesive, and has a maximum internal width W and a maximum entrance width w where the cavity abuts the glazing, wherein w ≤ W. The first adhesive forms a plug within the cavity of the retaining socket. Preferably, the retaining socket comprises at least one further cavity for receiving a second adhesive for bonding the retaining socket to the glazing.
