Abstract

La présente invention concerne un dispositif permettant de plier une lentille intra-oculaire (33), lequel dispositif présente deux demi-coques (13, 15) qui sont reliées par une charnière (17) et qui peuvent être déplacées l'une par rapport à l'autre avec des pattes formées sur les demi-coques (13, 15) afin de plier la lentille intra-oculaire. Afin de pouvoir utiliser le même dispositif pour des lentilles de diamètres différents, les demi-coques présentent, à la place des rainures habituellement présentes jusqu'à présent pour détecter les bords de la lentille, une configuration particulière selon laquelle les parois latérales (35), lorsque le dispositif est observé à l'état fermé, s'étendent parallèlement à l'axe de symétrie (37), et les sections de paroi supérieures (39) s'étendent de manière pratiquement orthogonale aux parois latérales (35). Ainsi, même lorsque l'angle d'ouverture du dispositif est important, la lentille est maintenue de façon sûre avant le pliage, ce qui permet de charger préalablement en usine la lentille (33) dans un injecteur (51). Un dispositif se présentant sous forme de cartouche (11') comprend un dispositif d'emboîtement (41) conçu pour être emboîté dans le boîtier (45) d'un injecteur (51). Il est possible de bloquer les pattes (19) avec un coulisseau (57) qui présente un dispositif de blocage (59). Avant l'opération, il est possible de tirer le coulisseau vers l'arrière, de plier la lentille préalablement chargée par pivotement de la patte (19), puis de l'injecter.
