Abstract
A method for manufacturing a substrate for displays easily adaptable to manufacturing a substrate for a display of a large size and exhibiting a reduced display nonuniformness and a method for manufacturing a display are provided. The method for manufacturing a substrate on which functional membranes surrounded by partitions are provided comprises a step of dividing the substrate two or more coating regions including functional membrane arrangement regions and coating the functional membrane arrangement regions with a liquid functional membrane material one by one. At least a part of the boundaries between the coated regions is nonlinear.
