Abstract

The present invention provides a rigid foam comprising a foamed proteinaceous material and a fibrous particulate dispersed therein, wherein the fibrous particulate has a mean fibre length of less than 10 mm and comprises one or more wool or nylon fibres. A process for the production of said foam is also provided. The disclosed foam may be used as a thermal or an acoustic insulation board.
