Abstract
Ein Verschleiß anzeigendes Implantat in einem menschlichen oder tierischen Organismus zeichnet sich dadurch aus, dass es im Werkstoff einen besonderen Markierungsstoff enthält, dessen Gehalt im Organismus oder der Gehalt seiner Stoffwechselprodukte im Blut, in den Sekreten, in den Exkreten oder in der Atemluft des menschlichen oder tierischen Lebewesens den Werkstoffverschleiß widerspiegelt.
Claims
1. Implantat in einem menschlichen oder tierischen Organismus dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es im Polyethylen-Werkstoff einen besonderen für den Organismus unbedenklichen Markierungsstoff enthält, welcher sich vom Werkstoff unterscheidet, und als organisches Molekül einer natürlich vorkommenden oder körpereigenen Substanz gleicht, und sich von dieser durch zumindest ein seltenes stabiles (nicht radioaktives) Isotop, vorzugsweise Kohlenstoff C-13, Sauerstoff 0-17, Sauerstoff 0-18, Stickstoff N-15 oder Wasserstoff H-2 unterscheidet, und bei Verschleiß frei wird und in einem menschlichen oder tierischen Organismus zumindest transportiert oder transportiert und ausgeschieden wird, wodurch der Gehalt des Markierungsstoffes oder seiner Stoffwechselprodukte im Organismus, oder in den Sekreten oder Exkreten oder in der Atemluft messbar, und dadurch der Werkstoffverschleiß indirekt feststellbar wird.
2. Implantat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Hüft- Endoprothese ist.
3. Implantat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Knie- Endoprothese ist.
4. Implantat nach Ansprach 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Schulter- Endoprothese ist.
5. Implantat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Sprunggelenks- Endoprothese ist.
6. Implantat nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass es eine Bandscheϊben- Endoprothese ist.
7. Implantat nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Markierungsstoff selbst oder seine Stoffwechselprodukte zumindest in der Gelenksflüssigkeit nachweisbar sind.
8. Implantat nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der Markierungsstoff selbst oder seine Stoffwechselprodukte zumindest im Blut nachweisbar sind.
9. Implantat nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der
Markierungsstoff selbst oder seine Stoffwechselprodukte zumindest im Urin nachweisbar sind.
10. Implantat nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der
Markierungsstoff selbst oder seine Stoffwechselprodukte zumindest im Stuhl nachweisbar sind.
11. Implantat nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der
Markierungsstoff selbst oder seine Stoffwechselprodukte zumindest im Schweiß nachweisbar sind. ι
12. Implantat nach einem der vorherigen Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass der
Markierungsstoff selbst oder seine Stoffwechselprodukte zumindest im Speichel nachweisbar sind.
13. Verwendung eines Implantates nach einem der Ansprüche 1-12 zur Erfassung und Bestimmung des Polyethylenverschleißes.
