Abstract

A screw tightening device (100A) is characterized by having an electric screwdriver (110A) provided with a bit (114) for tightening a screw; detection parts (150, 158) for detecting a position immediately before a seated position which is away a predetermined distance from the seated position where the screw is seated; and a control part (131) for rotating the bit at a first speed up to a position immediately before the seated position and rotating the bit at a second speed which is 1/10 or less of the first speed from the position immediately before the seated position to the seated position.
