Abstract

Beschrieben wird ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur gleichzeitigen Bestimmung der Masse, des Volumens oder der Art von Stoffproben in zahlreichen kleinen Kavitäten (2), insbesondere von Wells in Mikrotiterplatten. Das Verfahren sieht vor, dass den teilweise oder vollständig mit Proben gefüllten Kavitäten Energie durch eine Energiequelle (5) zugeführt wird. Hierdurch erwärmen sich die Proben in Abhängigkeit von ihrer Masse mehr oder minder stark. Die Bestimmung der Stoffmenge in den einzelnen Kavitäten wird somit auf eine Temperaturmessung zurückgeführt. Das parallele Erfassen der Probentemperatur in den einzelnen Kavitäten kann vorteilhafterweise durch eine Infrarotkamera als Detektor (6) erfolgen. Das Gesamtsystem, das im Wesentlichen aus einer Energiequelle und einem Detektor besteht, kann durch die Implementierung geeigneter Kalibrier- und Messroutinen in einer Auswerteeinheit (7) so aufgebaut werden, dass die Stoffmengen in den einzelnen Kavitäten direkt angezeigt werden.
