Abstract

L'invention porte sur un procédé de production d'un ester alkylique d'acide gras par l'utilisation de la transestérification d'une huile-et-graisse par un alcool aliphatique en présence d'une petite quantité d'un catalyseur à une température autour du point d'ébullition de l'alcool aliphatique ou inférieure au point d'ébullition de l'alcool aliphatique utilisé pour la fabrication de l'ester alkylique d'acide gras, qui peut produire l'ester alkylique d'acide gras à un rendement élevé malgré la conduite de la transestérification pendant une courte période de temps. L'invention porte également de façon précise sur un procédé de production d'un ester alkylique d'acide gras, qui comporte l'étape consistant à faire réagir une huile-et-graisse avec un alcool aliphatique représenté par la formule : ROH [dans laquelle R représente un groupe alkyle ayant 1 à 6 atomes de carbone] en présence d'oxyde de calcium ayant une surface spécifique BET égale ou supérieure à 20 m2/g et un volume total de pores ayant chacun un diamètre de particule de 2 à 100 nm égal ou supérieur à 0,15 ml/g.
