Abstract
The invention refers to a stabilization magnetic system for dental articulators. The system has magnets (3) strategically placed and fixed in an articulator either on upper or lower arm (1, 2), or both. The magnets create magnetic field near a semi-sphere (4) of an articulator spherical shaped condylar element for providing spring effect during articulation movement and keeping an upper arm (1 ) of the articulator in touch with the semi-sphere. The condylar element is made of a metallic material with magnetic characteristics, and is pivotable.
Description
"STABILIZATION MAGNETIC SYSTEM OF ARTICULATORS UPPER AND LOWER ARM" TECHNICAL FIELD
The present patent refers to a utility model to a stabilization magnetic system from mobile parts from upper and lower dental articulators, which system eliminates use of springs and elastics providing comfort and practicability in its use along with a product better look. BACKGROUND ART As it is known, there are many models of articulators.
The articulator may be defined as a mechanic device having great dental applicability, wherein its capacity of relationship of arcades together with reproduction of movements of mandibles allows procedures from occlusive analysis to planning and performing fix partial prostheses, removable prostheses, or even long oral rehabilitation, among others.
Today, referred dental articulators have springs or elastics which are placed on the external side so that stabilizing upper arm, and due to mechanical efforts of articulator, springs and elastics waste and break.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
System claimed as patent newly presents use of magnet in order to substitute springs and elastics, which are strategically placed in the articulator, providing magnetic field to perform spring or elastic function having the advantage of providing a more comfortable system that is practical for use and free from maintenance (replacement of springs and elastics), as well as without compromising product design.
In the present patent, magnets from magnetic system used either upper or lower arm, or both, since they create a magnetic field near sphere of condylar element (providing a spring effect) during articulation movements keeping upper arm in touch with sphere and providing a bigger stability and work precision. Articulator condylar element of present patent has spherical shape made of metallic material with magnetic characteristics and it may also have another shape that enables pivot to move.
It is not known the use or application of magnets (magnetic field) for stabilization of mobile parts of articulators or
in others odontological field.
The present patent may have constructive variables since magnetic system of stabilization offers large amount of applications in similar systems that use springs ands elastics today and may be substituted by magnetic field. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
To better understand patent herein proposed, there are illustrative figures attached from a model of articulator, wherein details from magnetic system of stabilization from upper to lower arm may be seen.
Figure 1 shows side view from whole articulator, wherein it is observed upper arm (1) and lower arm (2), magnet (3) and condylar element with sphere or semi-sphere in metallic material (4). Figure 2 shows upper view of upper arm (1) wherein magnet (3) location can be seen.
Finally, figure 3 shows perspective view of articulator, wherein upper arm (1 ) and lower arm (2), magnet (3) and condylar element with sphere or semi-sphere (4) in metallic material can be seen.
As already mentioned, exposition of present invention is just illustrative and changes can be done regarding to details, specially as to size, shape, dimension, production, industrial and visual disposition, but always having the origin principle to the extension indicated by knowing claim presented with present patent.
Due to advantages and totally innovative and singular solution, the present invention has the necessary conditions to reach wanted privilege.
