Abstract

An automatic parts assembling device includes a multi-joint first handling robot (20) having a holding hand (21) which is three-dimensionally movable in order to transport a parent part (H) while holding it and position it at a predetermined position and which can change its attitude, a multi-joint second handling robot (30) having holding hands (31, 32, 33) which are three-dimensionally movable in order to transport child parts (CP, SP, W) while holding them and position them at a predetermined position and which can change its attitude, and assembling units (50, 60) for assembling the child parts, which are transported to the predetermined position by the second handling robot, to the parent part held by the first handling robot. Because the handling of the parent part is performed only by the first handling robot and the handling of the child parts is performed only by the second handling robot, the device can be simplified in structure and reduced in cost. Also, the device requires less floor space and can enhance productivity.
